*An email/letter went home today regarding the science fair. Other than picking a broad topic for their research paper, we are not going to be doing anything else with the science fair until late November.
**We will be doing a lab with rocks next week. Please survey your area for rocks to bring to school in a bag with your child’s name on it. They will need to have these in by Tuesday. Each child will need 5 local rocks. Unique rocks will work the best – please , no store bought rocks.

*ALL Students need to check out one mystery AR book when they go to the library today. Remember: the book must have a green dot. It must also be 4+ points and a 5th to 8th grade reading level. Any book that does not have these specifications will not be accepted.
*Parents- We have had BIG problems with AR here at SFMS. We met as a department and decided that it is really not fair to hold the students responsible until these problems are worked out. AR is not working a large part of the time. I am waiting to hear what our next step will be regarding AR. As soon as I know, I will let everyone else know. I have not told the kids because I want them to continue to read.
